Custom machining of a part in plastic material

The machining of complex and large dimensions parts and thickness while controlling the cost and time is a very specific challenge for manufacturers of special machines who are subject to intense competitive pressure. Being a reliable, responsive and cost-effective supplier to its customers is the DNA of APC's custom machining business. This large wheel (Ø700mm, thickness 60mm), machined in duplicate, in a material sensitive to atmospheric conditions (HDPE), with tight tolerances, a very short lead time and a controlled budget, is a perfect example. For this, APC has an original machining center which allows the simultaneous production and with excellent dimensional control of an even number of identical parts, on a 4m x 2m vacuum table.
