Applications:

PA 6 is mainly used in the manufacture of mechanical components, while PA 66 is used in high-speed machining (automatic bar turning).

Advantages:

PA 6 specific features: 

• Universal plastic
• Best combination of mechanical properties
• Impact resistance
• Fatigue resistance

PA 66 specific features: 

• More rigid
• More stable to moisture
• More resistant to heat
• More resistant to creep

Disadvantages:

PA 6 : 

• Necessary precautions to compensate for dimensional variations

PA 66 : 

• Small dimensions:
  • less resistant to impact
  • less resistant to abrasion
